Central Division
Mandate:
The mandate of the Central Division is to secure and provide policing services to the St. George’s, South Saint George and St. Paul’s Police Districts.
Key areas of responsibilities are:
- Security of the capital city of Grenada, St. George’s.
- Security of the island’s major economic belt situated at the south of the island which comprises of key institutions such as the St. George’s University, The Maurice Bishop International Airport and major hotels.
- Security of the Prime Minister’s and Governor General’s Residence

Structure:
Four police stations operate within the Central Division. To ensure full and effective coverage of the Division each station is assigned to service specific areas as prescribed in the Second Schedule to the Police Regulations, Chapter 244 of Volume 11 of the 2010 Continuous Revised Edition of the Laws of Grenada.
