Woman Charged For Money Laundering & Stealing By Reason Of Employment ; Hope & Marlmount residents charged for rape and sexual assault

A Hermitage St. Patrick resident was arrested and charge on six counts each of Money Laundering and Stealing by Reason of Employment cash amounting to one hundred, thirty thousand, six hundred and fifty-one dollars and twenty-seven cents ($130,651.27), from a local pharmacy.

 

Dorriar Benjamin was charged by officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department on Friday 12thFebruary, 2021. 

 

She was granted bail in the amounts of ten thousand ($10,000.00) and seventy thousand dollars ($70,000.00), and is due to appear at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on February 24th, 2021.

 

In an unrelated matter, Emerald Creedland, a thirty-five year old, Farmer, of Marlmount, St. David, was arrested and charged by detectives attached to Criminal Investigation Department, St. David, on four counts of Rape, committed against a minor.  He was granted bail in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000.00), and is due to appear in court on April 13, 2021.

 

Christopher Brathwaite, 40 years, Bus Conductor residing at Hope St. Andrew, was also arrested and charged on four counts of Sexual Intercourse with a minor.   He was granted bail in the amount of forty thousand dollars ($40,000.00) with two sureties, and is scheduled to appear in court on May 10, 2021.

 

Police investigations are ongoing.
