The Royal Grenada Police Force Sports Club made a presentation to the J.W. Fletcher Catholic Secondary School on Friday 7th May, 2021. The items consisted of football equipment, running spikes, football boots and football uniforms.
The Principal, Mrs. Laurel Bartholomew, School Sports Committee, staff and students were present during the handover of these items.
The RGPF Sports Club adopted the school in 2017, as part of its Community Policing outreach. The equipment are expected to be used by the under 15 boys and girls team, under 19 boys team and the girls senior team, who are presently participating in GFA tournaments.
The items were obtained through friends in the diaspora who indicated their willingness to assist. Inspector Allan James, Corporals Ron Joseph and Richard Logan presented on behalf of the RGPF Sports Club.
Through this and other initiatives it is intended to help foster positive changes in the lives and attitudes of children, whilst being role models for them in their sports journey.
