Police in Carriacou discovered the body of a senior citizen who was reported missing on Tuesday 6th July, 2021.   Martin Karklins, a 73-year-old resident of Craigston, Carriacou, was reportedly last seen by his caretaker at around 4:00 a.m. on Sunday 4th July, 2021.    Various searches were carried out and his body was discovered in Belair, Carriacou.   Investigations are ongoing.
On Friday July 2nd, 2021, officers attached to the Rapid Response Unit were on patrol duty when they attempted to conduct a search on a suspect, who later threw away a bag he was carrying and fled the scene.  A search of the bag revealed a .380 Pistol along with one (1) round of ammunition.    On Saturday 3rd July, 2021, the accused man, Lawrence Hinds, a 32 year old resident of Grand Mal, St. George, was apprehended and charged for Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.    Hinds was granted bail in the amount of ten thousand…
The Royal Grenada Police Force hereby notifies the public and in particular motorists that at present the enter roadway at River Road, St. George, is impassable due to severe flooding.   Motorists are also encouraged to exercise extreme caution along the Western Main Road as several landslides occurred along the roadway.   The Royal Grenada Police Force anticipates the cooperation of everyone and thank the general public for their understanding in this regard.
