In light of a planned march by members of the Grenada Union of Teachers (GUT) on Friday 30th April, 2021, from Tanteen to the National Stadium, St. George, several streets may be closed for short periods to facilitate this activity.    As a result, the Royal Grenada Police Force hereby advises the general public and in particular motorists, that delays are anticipated between the hours of 1000 – 1200 hours, within the town of St. George.        The RGPF thanks the general public for their cooperation and understanding and regrets any inconvenience that may be caused.  
Twenty-six year old Jonathan Richards of Gouyave, St. John, was arrested and charged by officers of the Criminal Investigation Department, Gouyave Police Station, on April 26th, 2021, for two (2) counts of attempt to commit Non-Capital Murder and one (1) count each of Possession of a Firearm and Possession of Ammunition.   Richards received these charges following a shooting incident that resulted in an eleven year old child receiving gunshot wounds to his arm.  He is expected to appear at the Gouyave Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 27th April, 2021.
The Traffic Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force advises the general public and in particular motorists that the Maurice Bishop Highway will be closed to vehicular traffic on Sunday April 25th, 2021.    This closure is to facilitate the National Triathlon Competition.   As a result of this, the Sugar Mill Roundabout to the True Blue Roundabout, in both directions, will be closed to vehicular traffic between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.     DETOURS:   All vehicles travelling in the direction of Maurice Bishop International Airport will travel along The Limes and Frequent Public Roads.…
The Royal Grenada Police Force will be conducting live ammunition training at the Pearls Airstrip, Camp Raymond (Pearls), St. Andrew on Friday 23rd April, 2021 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.   Should there be an absolute necessity to use the area, animal owners, small craft operators and the general public are advised to exercise extreme caution when venturing into this area.
