Officers attached to the Criminal Investigation Department, Carriacou, arrested and charged Taric Stanislaus, a 36 year old Labourer of Belle Vue South, Carriacou, for the offence of Rape.   Stanislaus was accused of sexually assaulting a visitor to the island, on February 18, 2020.   He appeared at the St. George’s Magistrate Court on Monday 22nd February, 2021, and was remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison.  He will reappear in court on March 16, 2021.  
The Traffic Department of the Royal Grenada Police Force wishes to advise the general public, and in particular motorists, thatthe Lance Bridge (St. John) will be closed to vehicular traffic from Tuesday 23rdFebruary, 2021, for approximately one (1) week.   This closure is necessary to accommodate much needed repairs to the expansion joints on the Lance Bridge.  The work entails the removal and cleaning of existing joints and replacement of new materials and resurfacing.  Preliminary work commenced on the weekend, but closure is only necessary from Tuesday 23rdFebruary 2021.    As a result of this closure, vehicles travelling from St.…
Thirty-six (36) year old Kevon Joseph, of Hermitage, St. Patrick, was arrested and charged by officer of the Criminal Investigation Department for the offence of Arson, in connection with a dwelling house fire at Hermitage, St. Patrick.    Preliminary investigations suggests, that this incident stemmed from a domestic dispute.  Joseph is in police custody; he will make his first court appearance on Monday 22nd February, 2021, at Grenville Magistrate’s Court.   Police investigations are ongoing.
