The Royal Grenada Police Force (RGPF) is aware of a sexually explicit video that is circulating on social media, and is reminding the general public that the sharing of said video is against the law. Police Involved Shooting An investigation has commenced into a police-involved shooting that occurred on 21st October, 2020, at Fontenoy, St. George. Preliminary information is that a male in his twenties, received a single gunshot wound, during a police operation conducted in the early hours of Wednesday. Charges laid against murder accused Officers of the Criminal Investigation Department charged a 35 year old Perdmontemps, St. David resident, in connection with the death of Vaughn Francis, 48 years, Landscaper of the said address.  Charged with the offence of Non Capital Murder is Ron Simeon, sibling of the deceased.   Francis’s body was discovered during the morning of October 18th, 2020, lying unresponsive at their home.    Simeon is scheduled to make his first court appearance at the St. David’s Magistrate’s Court on Friday 23rd October, 2020. Circulating of pornographic videos/images The Royal Grenada Police Force is cautioning members of the general public against circulating pornographic videos and images via various social media platforms.   The RGPF advises all individuals who are involved in distributing these videos and images, that they are violating the Electronic Crimes Act, and may be prosecuted for same.  The maximum fine for breaches under this Act carries a fine of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($250,000.00) or a maximum term of imprisonment of three years, or both.
