Several buildings were affected by an early morning fire that occurred on Thursday 9th January, 2020 at Grenville Street, St. George’s.   The fire, which was reported about quarter to five in the morning, left two (2) two-storey concrete and wooden buildings completely destroyed. A 27 year old St. Patrick resident will appear at the St. George’s Magistrate’s Court on Friday 10th January, 2020, in connection with the seizure of 746 pounds of compressed cannabis.   Kevin Phillip, Fisherman of Levera, St. Patrick has been charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Drug and Importing a Controlled Drug.   He was apprehended after a blue fishing boat, in which he was the lone occupant, was intercepted outside the waters of Hillsborough (Carriacou) about 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday 7th January, 2020.   Police investigations continue.   Source:      Office of Commissioner of Police   Contact:    …
Police are investigating a vehicular accident that has left one man dead at the weekend.  The accident, which involved a Nissan Tiida car and a Wrangler jeep, occurred about 7:00 a.m. on Saturday 4th January, 2020 along the Calivigny, (St. George) public road.   Dead, is 32 year old Horndell H.M. Two St. Andrew residents have been remanded in custody and are awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty to the offence of Housebreaking.    Officers of the Grenville Police Station walked into a crime in progress at an unoccupied home at Telescope, St. Andrew on Friday 4th October, 2019, where the two men Dexter George, 33, and Jimmy Alexander, 29, both of Telescope, St. Andrew were apprehended.   George appeared at the Grenville Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday 8th October while his accomplice Alexander appeared at the said Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday 9th October, 2019.
